Mareni grew out of my love for the sea and a life spent between Europe and the United States. Some of my favorite memories are from Copenhagen. Jumping into the water, even when it was a little cold, and wishing I had something beautiful to step into afterward.

I was always wrapping a towel around myself or reaching for an oversized hotel robe that never quite felt right. They were either too bulky, too shapeless, or didn’t feel like me. I couldn’t find terry cotton pieces that felt both comfortable and feminine.

So I began designing my own.

Mareni is made of soft terry cotton shaped into flattering, easy silhouettes. Pieces you can slip into after a swim, walk along the shore in, or sit at a seaside café wearing. Something that replaces the towel, but still feels refined. Something that lets you feel comfortable, confident, and yourself.

Each piece is crafted in Portugal in small batches, with care and intention.

Inspired by the timeless beauty of the 1960s and the relaxed elegance of European coastal life, Mareni celebrates slow days, soft structure, and the quiet confidence of being by the sea.
